Another issue is the thinset refusing to release leaving the tile intact but glued to the substrate; try adjusting the attack angle to a shallower setting and use repeated taps to fatigue the bond, or consider mechanical scoring of the adhesive layer. A third concern is excessive dust and debris that spreads through the space and increases clean up; reduce this by removing larger sections at a time, wetting the surface lightly if safe for the materials, and clearing piles frequently so you do not grind dust into remaining tiles.
